I HAVE A GEFORCE2 PRO MSI BOARD. I WAS WONDERING WHAT THE ADVANTAGE IS BY UPDATING THE BIOS. IS IT WORTH IT?

my opinion is that if there is any advantage the difference will be so small that the risk makes it worthless.
you wont get any noticeable performance or img quality improvement. if the new vesion fixes any compatibility issue that you have, then i think u could try it out. my recommendation is: dont do it if you have no information about what the newer version updates. if it will fix one of your problem, try to find another way to fix it before updating the bios.

I flashed to 4 or 5 different bios to test for performance. The Nvidia Geforce2 Quadro reference bios was the fastest for my old Gainward Pro 450.

im curious to know how much it was. do u have benchmarks results rogue?

I didn't save any actual benchmarks, but I used 3DMark 2001 to test and the results varied by as much as 150 pts. I did the same thing with this video card and found the nvidia Geforce 2 Ti reference bios to again be the fastest, 3DMark 2001 score is 5610.

id like to gain about 100 points but thats still my opinion. this is what i meant with the no noticeable improvement.
