My only floppy drive kicked the bucket:bang head, and before traveling across town to find a new one, is there an easy way to make a USB drive bootable?
I tried it once before, but the program that was recommended didn't work with vista64.
Thanks

Works w/ Vista x64...
HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool Version 2.0.6

... then just point the program to the boot files contained within a WinME bootdisk:

You might also want to give this program a try, although I've never used it...
HP Drive Key Boot Utility Version 7.41
... at the same link as above.

thanks for the help, but no luck. I used the app, and it seemed to work. But, no joy on booting. I think I had the right settings in the bios, but not 100%. I think I'm just going to go find a floppy drive....wherever they're sold these days. I'd still like to figure this out though for future reference.

There's probably two different locations in the BIOS whereas the USB flash drive needs to be set as the first boot device, and first in the boot order / boot sequence (Hard Disk Boot Priority)... both normally under Advanced BIOS Features.

does it matter if i'm formatting to fat or fat32? I had a little trouble finding a good DOS disk image. I was using dos 6.22 at first, and am going to try dos 8.0 on a fat32 partition.
