Modem conflict with sound card

Ever since my sound card has been out..........My modem dials up and connects but gives me an illegal operation........I even re-installed Netzero and instralled my modem again.i even re-installed my OS....I fianlly then un-installed my sound blaster adudigy drivers and it still does......Any ideas.....

98 Lite but it ran fine before..........I think I am going to whipe out everything and re-nstall e everything

Before you do that, which PCI slots are the cards in? I don't know if your mother board allows you assign IRQ's to your cards or not, so just by moving the cards around you can sometimes eliminate conflicts, without having to re-install.

Also, are u O/Cing? I had trouble with my modem because it was running too high of fsb. And move the modem around in the slots
