Just one of those disadvantages to SLI. Can't count on everyone to support it.
That sucks.

Yay Support for DirectInput controllers! That was dumb of them just to support 360 controllers!

do games have to support an xbox360 controller to be able to use it in them like older games like sonic heroes for example? And emulators? ANd cna you map controls with it on emulators?

According to the settings menu, You need a top end workstation card because only they have the memory needed (2GB-4GB) to max the graphics. Unfortunately the highend consumer cards "only" have 1GB... funny how no other game even uses all that memory and now GTA demands 4 times that amount.
-1 for thread titles that fail by being to much.

welcome to progress, every few years a new game comes out that taxes hardware, i love hearing people cry their new systems cant run the NEWEST games that come out weeks or months after they built their rig. welcome to the world of computers, dont like it go buy a console.

and the devs when it comes to console to pc ports.

that too, it could be badly coded, has plenty of bugs or just needs high end rigs (whiich in this case is to make up for the typical lazy rockstar dev's making a yes again bad GTA port to milk for more money since consoles sales calmed down)

The problem with that is gta isn't any remarkable graphic wise game to come along like Crysis was nor is it anything we haven't seen before and can play much better games. On top of this, it isnt built for today's computer technology despite coming out a year or so ago for a console which games amde for it have been ported remarkably well already. Why would they make a game for future consumers and lose all the potential customers now?

whats so progressive about gta? It has nothing new in the forms of ai from any other gta game. I mean Gothic 2 has better ai.

Games that do not natively support a 360 ctrl'er can be mapped using 3rd party programs in many instances.

I haven't played gothic2, but the ai in GTA4 surpasses its predecessors. It may not seem better, but the more you play the more subtleties an nuances you'll find.
Oh, yeah. -1 on the thread title; Tr1es 2 c0ntainz yur furrie!

what makes GTA so intense on PC is the sheer size of the massive outdoor area the system must be processing all at once, i know Gothiic 3 AI sucks, they are stupider then dirt.
the game may not be revolutionary in graphics, but that is not the only thing that can bring a system to it's knee's
