i have a geforce 2 mx 400 video cardi have tried several times to overclock it in reg file and all that. When i turned up the clock speed i actually benchmarked a hell of a lot lower. I think i am doing to wrong oviously. Is there a specific program for this card? Can anyone tell me how to overclock this card?

Welcome to the Forums

I agree with Da Whip... Rivatuner works really well and is user friendly enough for beginner or expert overclockers... Make sure you have good cooling and have the latest drivers as well. Good luck.

I read that some Geforce2 cards use the BIOS to overclock...I think it was AOpen (?; started with an "A") that did this in a review I read somewhere. Check your manual and look at the "vid splash screen", which is the first letters/#'s shown at bootup, for any speed indications outside of "MX 400". The BIOS card in the review was also O/C'ed by 10% by the manufacturer.

That's the spiffy thing about rivatuner... "lowlevel" overclocking is done at the vid cards bios and rivatuner does this:D
