I imaged an old 60 gig with winXP drive to a new 160 gig drive, removed the old drive and peformed a fixmbr command through the windows recovery console. the PC will not boot. I went further and used the bootcfg /scan -> bootcfg /add to try and add the windows installation to the mbr. Nothing works, the computer acts like there is nothing to boot from. I have imaged drives before and it has worked flawlessly. Am I missing something?
edit.... mods can close. I knew I would find the problem as soon as I posted this. The partition was not set to "active" in disk management. I have been banging my head against the wall for the last 2 hours over this! :temper::temper:
