I was just wondering if it was possible to buy an adapter or make one so that I can connect a Dreamcast to a computer monitor. My tv is getting old, and it sometimes does not work. Also, I think it should look better on a monitor.
It won't look better. Trust me. I run my PS off of a VCR plugged into my videocard's Video In port. Monitors are not made for PS games.
Its playable, but it doesn't look the greatest. I mainly do it because this way, if I feel like a little Tony Hawk, I can play w/o my Overseers getting upset at me.

Actually it depends. Some games will look great. SC, DoA2, SA1/2 Most 3D games look great. 2D games will become pixelated but the color will be more vibrant. I have a 21" monitor to play on so I sit far away. Pixelation kinda dies off once you're further away.
And you're looking for a VGA adaptor. I'm not sure if they sell official Sega VGA adaptors here in America but you can get the 3rd party ones. Less quality but still, more or less does the job. And another thing. In order for VGA mode to work the game has to support it. You *can* trick it into displaying on the VGA..but that usually leads to problems w/ refresh and sync. Could damage your monitor.

It looks great!! Buy a VGA box which resolutes the dreamcast cast picture to monitor compatibility... there are copmanies out there that make vga boxes for dreamcast but most do not print their name on the product due to legal problems. I got mine for about 30 bucks on the net... just look around....

Afraid not. Not w/out visual problems anyways. TV res is maxed out.
