I am thinking of putting a wired cat 6 connection to my computer from my router. What would i need?

depends what youre trying to accomplish.
if you already have cat5 or cat5e then you probably wouldnt see any improvement.
what is it that you are unsure of how to use?

for proper gigabyte you need min cat 5e, but need to know what you want /need /expect as ppe1700 said.

cat6 is a waste of your money. Cat5E is more than capable of gigabit speeds and is much cheaper.

cat6 is far more insulated last time i used it swo it would be better in an area that could have alot of interferenee, also each wire is seperated by thick plastic down the middle unlike cat5e so less chance of cross talk.

While it's 100% true that CAT5e is more than capable of doing GB ethernet, and that it's cheaper than CAT6, CAT6 is not a waste of money. CAT6 may cost more than CAT5e, but it is not expensive; $80 will get you 1000ft of CAT6 and $60 will get you the same amount of CAT5e.
I would recommend using CAT6 if you feel you are going to need/want 10GBit ethernet capable infrastructure, when the price for the equipment become affordable. CAT5e will not be rated to carry 10GB ethernet, whereas CAT6 is.
As to how to use the stuff you linked to: cut a hole in your walls, run the cable, terminate the cable with RJ45 connectors, if it's not already, then plug them into the back side of the coupler. That coupler will then snap right in, through the wall side of the wall plate, and you will then have an ethernet port on your wall.

I am looking at getting the cat 6 instead of using the wifi I have. I am worried that i will not be able to play some games i am planning on getting over wifi. Mainly the orange box.

if all you want to do is play games then your wifi is more than capable the only reason you should need cat6 is if you plan to transmit a LOT of data in your lan

I agree, I don't think a wireless router will limit your gaming. Bandwidth surely won't be a problem, and I doubt the added latency would be an issue either(if today's wireless routers have an increase latency over wired). Just stick with your wireless if you so far aren't having any problems with your current games.
CAT5E vs CAT6... I agree with what's been mentioned here as well. CAT5E is more than enough for home use. How long of a wire do you need? If the price difference isn't a lot, I'd just go with CAT6, since it's better, even if you won't ever notice it. I personally use CAT6 over gigabit, and have never had a problem, if it's a few bucks more, and you can afford that, then go with it! But I think in your case you should stay with the wifi router.

make sure you get cat 6 patch cables too! those things are a pain to crimp with the shielding jacket inside

wireless will let you play the games you want.
you will find that you get a much better gameplay with a wired connection! = less lag and weird goings on
