I want build a case like koolance guiz did that mobo is sinked in oil hers link were ppz discus it in oc Cant find a pic for ya but I'm on it (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47) . But I'm think how to build a tank where I can hold the stuff in. I was talking to one guy and he sed that the transformer oil is dangerous, cause it can explode, is it so or does it have to be hot to explode ? I know that its boiling temperature is verry low like 70-80 degrees Celsius. So I thought thought how about condensator oil its more dielectric and its freezing temperature is lower -45 transformers oil freezes at 40 deg.

I think I can talk to some ppz who work in power stations where they use verry big condensators, I hope to get some oil cheap but I have to know for sure if I can use it. has anyone experience with one of the oils mentioned ?

Separately I can get cooling like freezers has. It'll work with gas called Freon, when it is used right U can freeze stuff with it to -30 to -35 degrees using special pump. hers where is one home made cpu cooling with Freon.

I`m thinking that most necessary cooldown objects are generally: cpu, ram, graphics cpu and ram or is there any others which needs to be difenetly cool down. Anyway i was think to cool these for to -30 degrees and the oil in the cas lets say down to -5 to -10 would it be posible ?

that this is better ? Due I cant write any better, if any questions about things I can try to explain in further posts, so i keep on digging to get the knowledge how to build a system like that.

Btw is abits KR/ raid ok board to tweak AMD`s 1900+ or 2000+ with the case I'm plain to build ? or are the abits board worht the 235 $ ?

thats awsome i don't know much about oil like that but i have seen someone use a special (and very expensive) fluid o submerge their computer than cooled the fluid dry ice.

You can try mineral oil. I have heard of people doing that

Hmmm. I think that you should use some cheaper components to test your experiment. I know that I wouldnt risk my KR7A for something like this.

You want to use plexiglass... and use caulking to seal it.

hey but how do i keep the cold inside the case i need to seal it goodly
hm i have one 386 i can try it in the oil

i know about miner oil (in the pic the koolance guyz used mineral oil) though its soposed to be not cheap i can get the condensator oil without any money i think

Just make sure the condensator oil isnt too dirty though.

I belive condenser oil contains PCB's which are very bad for you.

Mineral oil is great cause you can submerge all but HDD FD and CD.

Mineral is not as good as water at heat conduction, so you may need a fan for the oil over hot spots. Oil is also very thick and wont convect easily.

If you chill the whole case you need a heck of a fridge. If you don't insulate you need to put it in that heck of a fridge.

but what PCB's do ? can i filter the oil to get better results ? im gone seperatly freezthe cpu and graphics cpu and both mems, so what else do i need to cool down and what is mineral oils most lower temps its in wet state.

First, you cannot filter the PCBs out, they are part of the oil.

As far as what they do: They are great for cooling and insulation. They are also rather toxic.

Early symptoms of exposure include: Severe acne, swollen eyelids, baldness and impotence. But even small exposures can progress to liver cancer.

Check this site for more info:

Toxic effects of PCB's (http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/78127_7.html)

if i keep 30 liters at hom is it lethal :O i think so but diferent oils contamin difrent amounts of it hmm i have to check how much ther is :D hey but thanx.

hmm who needs the wimin enyway i as wel can be im... impotent but when my case is cooled im happy, ... giggle!

have to check the backround of that oil thnx for the hint.
