I have done some searching on this topic, and I have come across a few different answers, so I though I would post and see what the general thoughts were.

I am going to set up a 2-drive RAID 0 array on my P5Q Pro mobo. When I go to instal Vista 64, will I, or will I not need to install raid drivers prior to the installation? And if so, where do I get the drivers and how do I "load" them prior to Vista? With my current RAID 1 install, I did not have to install any drivers prior to the Vista install, but I am wondering if RAID 0 is different?

Thanks!

No, Vista comes installed with many raid drivers already. If it is the same controller than you did the RAID1 with, then it doesn't matter.

When you install vista it will prompt you to select proper drivers for your controller. You can do this using a flash drive, CD, DVD, or floppy (I will smack you if you are still using one).

Vista is by far my favorite OS to install. It's so much easier than XP was (at least the pre-SP1 versions).

Although vista does come with plenty of pre-installed Raid drivers, it'd be wise to load the latest and greatest drivers available. This can be done via a Flash drive during installation. The files you will need to put on your flash drive are in the zipped folder below.

When prompted to choose which HD to install the OS on, select the raid array and click on " load driver " and the rest is cake...
