Hi guys!!! Finaly decided to reinstall windows on the main rig. Did so and the ICS began working again!!!! Now both my comps are folding!!! I'm BACK!

Glad to hear you got both rigs back Folding. I guess the ICS was messed up on your main rig and not the duron box. Fold on Brother!

Yup, stupid WinME. Still can't sort the not shuting down problem out. I guess it got to do w/ AGP drivers... cause b4 I installed 'em, it would shutdown, after it wouldn't. Its happening w/ 4.32 & 4.36 VIA 4-in-1

The only way I can shutdown is to hold the power button in until it shutsoff. No VIA, no WinME.

BTW. Congrats on getting your Duron up.

I had the same problem with my moms computer restarting when I selected to shutdown(its a win2k machine). I went to control panel and selected power options and went to the APM (Advanced Power management ) tab and enabled APM. This solved my problem.

When I installed Adaptec 5.0 on my system with 2000 pro and also on Xp pro my system would reboot instead of shut down. I found this out by uninstalling all my programs until i found the culprit. This may not be a problem for any of you but it was for me.
