Don't know if this should be in the cooling section but I'm wondering if anybody has sucessfully mounted a cpu heatsink/ fan on their graphics card? I want to mount my old standard intel cpu heatsink/fan on my ASUS GeForce2 MX 400 and don't have much of an idea how to. I'm sure that I've seen it done before on the internet somewhere, but that was before I had even got the MX 400. If anybody has done it or knows how to, then any help would be great!!
( Any pics would help enormously! )
:D

Hey Pipe,
A crystal Orb would work nicely on a Mx.
Does your video card have push-pins on the current heatsink?
If you are set on putting a cpu heatsink on your gpu the instructions on the bottom of this article may be helpul to you.

Yeah, my MX has the push-pins you talk about Silversinksam. It currently has a blue orb on it. I know its proberly not worth the effort in getting the cpu heatsink/fan on the card, but I want to do it for the glory! hehehe :D No one I know has done it so I want to be the first out of my friends. You say a crystal orb goes well on an MX?? I will check that out before I start.
The GeForce3 ti200 comes with a small fan and ramsinks..I just added a small fan to each of the 2 ramsinks..works fine...

I hate to be a pain funnyperson1, but your pic of your graphics card isn't showing up at http:\\funnyperson1.50megs.com/computerpics.html. All it has is a box labled ' Video Card Cooling Setup ', but there is no picture. If you can't fix the web page problem, then mabey attach it to a post in this forum ( assuming its not too big in size ). That would be great if you could do that!! :D :D
Thanks.

By the way, if anyone else has pics of cpu hs/fan on their graphics card then it would be great to have a look at them too.
funnyperson1, I did eventually get that pic from your homepage. Thanks. :D :D

Damn, your heatsink is bigger than mine! And I thought mine was pretty big for a GPU HSF.
