Hi, is it unheard of to use a UPS for other appliances such as a refrigerator? I ask this because where I am sometimes we get very fast power flashes which could damage electrical appliances. I would guess a good surge protector would also be ok.

Also a question about a current UPS I have. I have a Delta 650VA. I have four outlets on the back, two on top two on the bottom, each are used for different purposes, right now I cannot remember which two are for what, and sorry all the wording is in Chinese as I am in Taiwan so I can't quite figure it out. I believe the top two are the UPS and then the bottom two would be surge only?

A Fridge would need a seriously beefy UPS to handle the start-up inrush and the fact that a Fridge's Power Factor is well below 1 (dependant on the size of the fridge).
