I have only seen corsair dominator rams being used on i7 boards and they seem to work well enough. Don't know about the OCZ you mentioned about. Personally, I prefer corsair dominator and mushkin rams to OCZ memory.

I, on the contrary, will swear by OCZ memory, before I got my Reapers, my DDR2 vista upgrade memory netted me an overclock of nearly 200mhz (800 to 1000) at 1.9v

I have also had very good experiences with G-Skill ram as well. They are a newer company, but their prices are low and the memory is exceptionally reliable.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231225 -- $190 (DDR3 1600)

I've tried to get a thread going about I7 memory (more specifically tri-chan ddr3) , and no one really seems to know what oc's well. RAM is one of the three things I need to complete my build (the other two being mobo and case). I personally am leaning towards the OCZ gold kit (newegg jacked up the price on it though). I figure they should do 1600 (maybe up to somewhere in the 1800s), and when newegg puts the price back down they should be $145 after MIR.

i got the 1600 6gb dominators. they're pretty sweet. but a little big physically (had to mount my TRUE sideways, ram was too tall)

A buddy of mine has this set: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145222, and it took his 920 to 3.6 with no sweat. I don't remember exactly what he had them set at, but the RAM wasn't the weakest link, it was the CPU.

OP I returned the set you listed because they don't OC well at all. I got the PI Blacks which are 239.00 but oc well.

Gskill PI Black ddr3 1600, running 12gb at ddr3 1830(8-8-8-20) memtest stable @ 1.65 they will do more but i dont want to go over 1.65
