I got (2) Asus HD 3870 in crossfire.
Using Cat 8.12 in XP Home ( rest of hardware on sig)
On default the 3DM06 score is 16527.
On GPU 860 and mem on 1186 I scored 15981
Used ATI overdrive to do the overclocking. Tested on overdrive and passed.
Why the lower score? Am I missing something?

Not sure why but I have seen the same thing so i just lowered the clock to where i got the best results

Its likely not a stable clockspeed. Lower a bit and it should go back up. ;)

kinda what i figured when mine has similar results even though there was no apparent artifacting

Same here. It acts perfectly stable. Plays games for hours on those O/C clocks with no problem.
Just don't notice any fps gain with those clocks in games.

Well just because it isn't stable it doesn't always show artifacts, but it shows as a decrease in performance. Could be something is getting too hot on the gpu's too. Anyway, fire up ATiTool as that is the most likely place to find any instabilities by running the scan for artifacts on it. If it finds errors then back down the clocks until no errors appear :P
Hope this helps.... and merry xmas XD

Sounds like a good plan, thx.
And Merry Christmas to you too :)

This is kinda perplexing.
ATI Tool locks up at program startup.
I have to use CCC and it will only overclock 1 card at a time ( verified but GPU-Z).
Rivatuner will also only OC 1 card.
What am I doing wrong?
