i was wondering if there was a way to change the animated gif in IE? my bro installed (updated to 5.5) and later i updated IE to 6 and was hoping that would get rid of it. also when the cursor is over the ie task bar it says 'ie provided by america online'. help and thanks.

I know it can be done, But I'm gonna have to look for the link. And it says it's provided by AOL because you're using the version that's installed when you install AOL.
In XP I can change both with tweak-xp. Its a reg hack.

x-teq setup will allow you to change the icon and the 'ie provided by america online'.
