Bioshock 5 dollars. I bought it for 50.
Note to self : NEVER, EVER buy single player games right when they come out.

Yeah, buy them five years later when they will feel like five year old games.
Come on, if it's a good game buy it the day it comes out.

Man, huge deals here;
Portal for $5, TF2 for $10, STALKER Clear Sky, $18, Enemy Territory $15

Depends on the game. Not only do you get a bargain in waiting, but you bypass so much of the hype that surrounds this stuff and get to see what actually stands the test of a little time ... maybe what's actually worth purchasing in the first place (i.e.: I thoroughly enjoyed Half-Life 2 for the first time just a month or so ago). It's still amazing to me how anyone willingly pays up at the $49-59.99 price point.

'Feel' like 5 year old games? I'm curious what you mean by that. Good games are good games no matter when they were made. Dated graphics and sound doesn't make a game bad, that may be what you mean by feel but it doesn't make the game not good.

Best deal here is Portal for $5. Go for it. Or if you've been living under a rock or coming of age, then the Valve Complete Pack for $75 is worth it IMO.

I agree with you, if a game is a good game, old graphics will not make it any worse... But...
When I go back to some of my all time favorites such as Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale I usually have a really hard time getting into them. Not because they're bad games, but because they feel so worn out. I'm not talking only about how they look like, but about the whole design in general. When jumping from something like Crysis to Half Life 1 your really have to overcome quite a few things before enjoying the game... Simply because new games "feel" so much better.
I just picked up...

Well I realized after posting that you were stating an opinion, so it's not really something to argue over. It did seem you implied that an old 'feel' makes a game bad but you didn't really say it. It may also depend upon the type of game, FPS generally don't have as much that sets them apart gameplay-wise as say strategy games so an old FPS might seem worse than a new one for that reason. Than again you mention RPGs so :p

This is on topic because many of the games on sale are older games, but even Bioshock is what, a year at most? And because of this deal it's a mere $5 which is a huge discount off the intro price.
Besides which no post count in this section :p If there was I'd have twice as many posts haha so it's not like spamming exactly :)
