i was looking at getting an ati all in wonder 128 pro 32MB AGP because i wanted the ability to watch tv on my monitor because i don't have a tv, and also want to be able to record shows and movies, along with being able to play some games, but nothing really hardcore, i've found at the pricewatch website, that its about $104
i know its an older card, but i want one with a tv tuner, but nothing too expensive either, what do you guys think?
I have just asked a simular question see thread about seperate or all in one.

AIW is a great card, but if you want a better and faster card to keep for a longer time then buy an OEM ATI Radeon 7500 64 DDR through pricewatch.com, think they are as low as $91 and then by a Happauge Win GO TV Tuner card or an ATI TV Wonder VE card, for pc TV and video capture.
7500 also does TV out at 1024x768 HDTV support, only the 8500 DV ATI card can do this.
Ya might spend about $20 more overall but you got a better video card. But the ATI AIW is a good card, but would be better to get a ddr based card or possibly the more recent ATI AIW Radeon 32 DDR

I've had the ATI All-In-Wonder 128 (not the "Pro") for about 2 years. The watching TV part works great as you can resize or run full screen. The software can automatically select the valid channels from the cable. I did have trouble recording from a tape as it did not want to pick up the sound. After a lot of trouble and downloading lots of drivers and codecs I got it to partially work. Talked with another person who had the same problem. Check out recording (with sound working) if this is important to you. Otherwise, this is a good card.
I've had an AIW 128 Pro for several years now & have had no problems with it under W98SE. I've never done alot of recording, but I did try it out & didn't have any trouble.
Recently I upgraded my system to W2K. I downloaded the W2K drivers from ATI's website along with the W2K TV tuner app. At first everything appeared to work, but shortly after the initial installation, the TV app would just freeze & was pretty much usless. I didn't dig into it & the problem may have been unique to my system. Since then I've gone back to WIN98SE.
If your running W2K I'd suggest purchasing a newer version of the AIW.
