i was wondering about rounding ata 66/100 cables...
i rounded a floppy and a ata 33 cable easily but the 66/100 cables are so small!
is it dangerous?

no, iv done it. What i did was use a sharp knife to slit about a half inch of the cable every 5 wires or so, and then pull the cables apart at right angles to each other. Then bundle them together.

It is more tricky with the smaller wires. I only have done it to the floppy and ata 33 cables. I bought my ata 100 round cable...nice silver mesh shielding, too!

as long as it doesnt touch another open wire, and if the wire is still intact u should be ok..

homemade rounded cables are what? what do they cost like cable-$2 plus like 2c of tape?
and 10 bux isnt 10 bux unless you have 10 bux!

i've rounded all my cables. floppy and the 40 pin for the cdr's and the 66\100 for my hd, used groovy colored electrical tape to bundle them and it looks pretty cool too. all of them still work.
(and it saved me a few bucks too)
