I borrowed a 2.5GB HDD from a bud of mine, cause my 4.3GB is on strike for winter! LOL, it doesn't work well in the cold, about 14C

Now I have 2 HDDs installed in the Duron 1. 850MB WD 2. 2.5GB WD
The 2.5 gets recognized by the BIOS, but in the table where it shows all the contents of ur comp, speed, ram PCI devices, Drives, it doesn't show up, and that's why its not bootable. I did repartition the drive several times, I know that doesn't help at all. the drive is unseen in DOS, so I can't format it, or install the OS on it! Its a UDMA 33 while the HDD I use to boot the comp is the lousy 850MB that runs in a Mode 3! What can i do?? Except getting new drive?

Did you make sure it is even plugged in right w/ the right jumper setting?
