When I power on my computer all my devices will turn on, then turn off, and then turn on and boot properly.
Is this happening with anyone else's board?

Happens on my UD5, so I think it's normal.

yeah happens to me too. i think its okay. hppefully fixed with a bios update at some point
Yep, and it's a PITA if you ask me.
Have no idea why it does that. I have mine setup as a benching rig, so it sits on my desk top out of a case. And you can see the post codes on the MB LED roll round 2 or 3 times.

Same with me also, probably just needs a BIOS update to fix.
I have GA-X58-EXTREME , I have this problem only when OC settings fail , other cases
it boots fine , i'm with bios F4 as far as I remember ...

I just spoke on the phone with gigabyte and mentioned this quirk and he told me that it is normal behavior for that to happen and it has something to do with the cpu heating up.
cpu heating up ? lol - that sounds like a good excuse ...
my EX58 extreme does this as well...don't like it, but looks to be normal. I didn't think it was warming up the CPU...I thought it was checking the dual BIOSs.. i.e. checks BIOS one, then checks BIOS two, then grabs the default (1 or 2) and runs the post check on it again (thus the posts codes going around and around)...but thats just me thinking ...which can be dangerous.

I get this 'behaviour' only when changing OC settings, probably as mentioned before for dual Bios..

killer454. what do you mean by setting your memory right or having the computer read it right? All I did in Bios was change the memory to "Profile1" so that it is at 1600 8 8 8 24 which is what it is specced it, and I still get the boot issue. What am I doing wrong?

I have not overclocked at all. my processor and everything is at stock except for memory. I simply raised it up to its rated speed (1600, 8 8 8 24)

yes i had that same double startup problem when i first got my system running ,some people are saying it is normal,i did not like it ,so i started trying to get rid of it and was going to overclock anyway so i did that first and it went away after i set my overclock.
