I you use an 80 to 60 mm fan adapter you'll need to shop around for a 80 mm fan that can handle more backpressure.....If you don't do it you will decrease the amount of air the fan moves severely.

The comment this other guy gives you about installing a blowhole right above or near your HSF, can decrease your temperatures by a lot. I have the experience of using a Coolermaster HSF over my CPU and as I have a blowhole with a 120 mm fan on the top of the case exactly over the CPU area, I could decrease my temperatures from 42°C to 37°C.....That is a 5°C drop!!!!! :)

same situation with a blowhole and a coolermaster except mine was 2 80mm fans blowing in from the top....system dropped about 7C and CPU temp dropped 10C
