I have a question for those who use powerline networking.
I have the Linksys PLS300 (theoretical 200Mbps, and I'm only getting about 2-3MBps (~20Mbps). I was wondering if I get the ones only rated for 14Mbps, would I get the same performance I am getting now, since i'm obviously not getting the 200Mbps?

I remember reading about those not too long ago. I had a friend that lived in the apartment below me, and he allowed me to use his powerline adapter to leech his internet until my ISP came and installed. The speed was bad, but it's also related to what's using the power line as well. We live in an old house turned apartments, and 3 ACs just on for us, not to mention the other tenants.
Have you tried changing the plug configuration for what you have plugged in. Moving some items like an AC unit, space heater, even the computer itself might have an impact on those speeds.

Nothing else in the room where the computer is at besides the computer, monitor and speakers. I've tried changing the plugs but the speed is the same. I think I will get a lower speed one, maybe the 85Mbps because it's cheaper and i'm not getting the 200Mbps anyway
