new setup setup and oc'd with no prob!

just got my ak31 and 1700xp today:D
got it up and running in no time and already doing 1.65 with little effort. the 1700 is a stepping i havn't heard of yet... agoga-y. seems to be a good chip. it's at 1.85 v running 150x11 at most aggresive memory timings. booted windows at 1.7 but crashed after 10 seconds 3dmark2k1. sure i can get higher with better psu and some better airflow in the case. time to o\c the r8500 now and see what kind of 3dmark score i can get. got 8233 at 150 fsb and default gpu and mem clocks... WHOOHOO!!!

There was someone with a r8500 that scored over 10,000 in 3DMark2k1. Do a search and you sould be able to find it. Of course, they did have a higher cpu speed and really aggressive cooling of everything.:beer:

yes i know..
the highest score on default is around 12xxx
ill get close to 10k after i get my new hdd's, psu and xp cpu

i got close, managed to hit 8233 running 148 fsb with aggresive mem settings and r8500 clocked to 310\290..
bet i can get it faster too!!
*edit* that was my score BEFORE i oc'd my 8500. now it's at 310\290 with a whopping 9078 3dmarks. i'm having a hard time uploading to madonion. it won't connect.

just have a swifty mcxc370 for now and it's keeping me under 45 @ full load around 39 @ idle. watercooling up next. i got into windows stable at fsb of 151 but had to back off on the mem timings

well you do have an XP cpu.. therefor those would be faster neways...
and you have 35mhz up on the cpu from me..
plus 8500's score better in the first place...
so thats no biggie.. ill get my new cpu and ill just beat you once again ;)
