file sharing help

ok, I know jack about networking... my roommates and I just got a linksys 4 port router. We tried setting up file sharing, but it only works 1 way. Here's some details:

I use win 2k pro, my roomate uses win me. I can access his files, but he can't access mine without a password. I tried my administrator password, but that's not it. I built this comp myself, and that's the only password I've ever made/used. So what's going on? Oh yeah, I'm using Fat32 not NTFS, so that's not the problem.

Any ideas?

we've also got 2 laptops with win 98se, but haven't added them into the mix, as getting these 2 desktops to share files is the top priority right now.

for the computer with winme to access the win2k machine you need to set up a user on the win2k machine for the winme machine
