BFG ES-800 VS Corsair TX850 VS Corsair TX750

I am having a really hard time deciding on a new power supply since my old OCZ gave out. Based on my needs and price I have narrowed it down to 3.

For each power supply I listed the price on NewEgg along with warranty info and a link to where the power supply was actually tested. Each has its ups and downs, but the hard part is what to choose?

Any and all suggestions are welcome as to which to choose. Just make sure to include why you chose the one you did.

Also, if you can find a lower price on any one of those please post a link! :)

I will be ordering on Monday so I need to make up my mind.

Corsair TX series are proven to be a great choice. The obvious choice here is the TX850. Expect a longer life this time around, and also consider getting some type of AC filtering...

My AC setup is something that doesn't need to be worried about. I have AC filtering that many would think I am probably nuts. Both on my PC and audio system.

Wow... sorry to hear bout the ocz ... corsair wont let you down though :D

The only problem with the BFG-ES800 is the short 4/8ping ATX wires. Other than that, it is a great PSU. In fact, the built quality of the BFG is better than the hx620 and tx750.

Do correct me if I'm wrong!

I have a pretty small case with the power supply at the bottom of the case so I am not too worried about length of the wires.

Just a warning to reiterate what Blazing Fire stated. I have this CM NV 690 mid tower, same bottom layout for power supply with cable management through the back. This Corsair 8 pin 12v cable just made it through the back at 21" long. The BFG 8pin is 17" long.

If you aren't doing cable management and connecting over the top of your motherboard, you should be ok.

correct. i can only do cable management with an extention for the atx wires and the 24 pin connectors.

A further elaboration on the ES800 wires here. I am running one in a Silverstone TJ06-B, which is a mid tower case that mounts the psu up top with the mobo in an inverted layout. And I don't have a problem with the ATX connector wires making it to the ATX plug on the mobo, the 12V cable is too short for me to use the 8 pin connector, but is barley long enough to use the 4 pin connector (both on the same cable, 4 pin connector is an extension of the 8 pin). The length of those 2 cables is my biggest gripe with the psu.

thing is I have personal experience with both brands and I can easily recommend corsair over bfg

Ah I see! I know for a fact that all other BFG units, except for the ES-800, were not of good quality. At one point in time, antec was infamous for their PSUs, but look at them now! The antec signature 850/650 is one of the best PSUs around, both in efficiency and built. The only competitor is probably the enermax 85+ revolution.
