Issues!! :(

Doesn't look like it's been noticed but I've run into issues w/ my main ICS box and it's been an ongoing battle. My production has been crappy to say the least but I'm almost there!

Something got hosed during a defrag of W2k on my main box runing stripped RAID. I rebuilt the entire box right back to where I wanted it with good ole' Win98se and then lost a stripe becuase I didn't rebuild the RAID after the W2K incident. :mad:

So I spent most of last night getting the box back up with a new RAID config and then I hosed my Intel Pro100 adapter by stupidly downloading updated drivers from the Microsoft update page (damn you Billy :D). You know what they say...if it ain' broke....

Gotta address that problem after work. So anyways...got rid of my two durons and got an XP1500 and a 1Gig 266fsb Athlon. The 1Gig runs sweet at 1200 w/ an FOP38. The XP is another story. I filled the pits perfectly but had problems with the actual bridge connections. Somehow I ended up with an 11x multiplier instead of 10x ...Which is damn fine by me!!!! Runs sweet at 11x145.

Anyways, sorry for the long wind, just wanted to let everyone know I'm still here and ...I will be back. :) Fold on!

Glad to see you upgraded those rigs; they should really crank out some WU's. I'm sorry to hear about your woes with the striped hard drives; when I lost my stripe due to an IBM 75GXP going belly up I gave up on striping and I'm just running the remaining 1 by itself. I received my replacement RMA drive back from IBM a few days ago and it looks like it is having problems already. The only way to get the bios to find it is from a cold boot. It isn't detected on warm boots:mad: . I guess that I'm going to try to call them and see if I can force them to send me a 60GXP as a replacement this time.

Shame about the RAID configuration, if its possible just run it as straight IDE and see if that helps, is it onboard RAID or a controller card, by the way how much do RAID cards cost????;)

I would like to help you guys out, as I consider you to be my friends and I would still like to see you get back to the top of the charts.

However, I now have obligations "elsewhere" but if you don't mind I'll still be lurking around this place. :)

AOA is doing pretty considering its small size.
