Does anyone know of any incompatabilities between win XP (home) and the latest detonator drivers?

I seem to be getting a BSOD when using graphic intensive apps, it says something about a memory error and the filename it gives is something that looks like a Nvidia file. Sorry I cant remember it at the moment I'm on a pc in work.

If anyone knows anything that may cause problemsbetween XP and detonatoe (23.11 I think) I'd be gratefull.

Hi Mike

Yes there are a few Known problems with WinXP / Nvidia & Via chipsets one of them is the BSOD memory loop & another is the PCI Latency speed to name but two.

People have been getting beter results with the 21.83 & 21.85 Dets.

Also there is a PCI Latency patch which might help you, more info on that can be found @ www.viahardware.com

Hope this helps

What vid card? I'm having problems in 2K, and XP at work with a Vanta chipset. I've narrowed it down to the Nvidia drivers, with 2K, but XP comes with drivers that cause the system to lock up. only happens with Intel CPU based boards so far. Celeron, or PIII. Haven't been able to test it with a P4 yet.
