I'm seriously planning to go, very soon, with a new XP+ system, thinking to an XP1500+ or XP1600+, are true the voice about the bigger OC chance of the new green XP+ chips?
I need of all the info available, any suggestion appreciated, I'm considering an AK31 and 256Mb Mushkin PC2700 or 2400 too.
Thanks, Adriano ;)

I have no idea. It would make sense though. But I really just posted so you wouldn't be all alone in here. :D I'll look it up...but good luck. I'd like to know too.

Well, I've red this info on another website, now offline! and considering that I've found a local dealer with this kind of XP1500+, I'm very interested to know more about, if possible of course ;) otherwise I will go with a XP1600+ stepping revison AGOGA.
P.S. Thanks AntiHeiss for your sympathy ;)

They are just using a new color to make the chip housing. They are normal XP's with new steppings.

Uhmm...so the greenie's are the stepping revision AGOGA if I'm reading right?
If I can read his processor batch code correctly.. I believe it says "AGKGA" with a "K" stepping...

Green is just a nicer color than brown (or so AMD thinks) so they used it instead.

She crapped out at 1850. These suckers just don't like over 149mhz FSB on stock multipliers.
I just picked up a Greenie XP1600 AGNGA "Y" Week 52. I'm just tickled with its performance. See my results here:

Tickled is not the word I am using, I am very happy!! I know with more voltage I can see much higher. Good job on the 1600 Hoot!

Well, thank you very much guys for the very interesting info, I'm just tickled thinking to the possible OC results ;)
at this point considering that I don't wanna make the Vio voltage mod on the Mobo, I'll go with the Shuttle AK35 that just can provide a voltage up to 2.2v!
Do you know where I can found good mem modules Pc2700? coz here I've found only the Mushkin PC2100 DDR SDRAM with MICRON-75 chips.

uh...tickled?
I am thinking about upgrading but I'm not shure yet. I would probably go with an XP 1600 but should I get an AGOGA from PCnut or get whatever Newegg.com has. Has anyone bought a 1600 from newegg lately. Mayby I'll just wait for the .13u AMDs to come out since its probably not worth upgrading.
