Hi,
I have a voodoo pci 3000 16 meg video card and am trying to install it on asus p2b-2 motherboard and am having trouble install the driver or even getting the machine to start. I am running 98SE. I have a ATI 4 meg card in there now. What be the correct order to install this card as I have no documentation and the company is no longer buisness. Thanks Steve

I am not familiar with that particular motherboard, but did it have on board video memory? If so, you may have to disable it in the bios and enable PCI as your video card.
I have one of those I just instaled it into and older computer i made with left over parts it worked fine when i just pluged it in then i instaled the dirvers
I've never had any problems with that particular card. In fact I use it to test my system if I'm having booting issues. You should be able to just plug it in, make sure you monitor is connect and boot up just fine. Windows will be ugly as sin until the drivers are installed but it should just work as is. If you've got onboard video or some other graphics adapter installed try disabling it first. Post back if you're actually getting an error or something of that nature.
Thanks for the replys. There is no onboard video on this board. I have a 4 meg ATI PCI card in it now. Should I remove this card from the system(in device manager) install the voodoo card and then install the drivers? This is in a PIII 550 that I put together at work . Steve
Yes, you should do that. Just be prepared that its going to look really crapy until the drivers are instaled but that should work no problem

Just a question, do you have both cards installed in the system at the same time? (...yes it can be done if you know what you're doing) if so, the best idea, is to get the latest drivers from Voodoo files. (Http://www.voodoofiles.com ) Turn off the system, pull out the ATI card, put the Voodoo in it's place and start the machine up. It should detect the new card, but only install generic drivers for it. It should then ask you to reboot your machine. After you have rebooted, then you install the 3DFX drivers. It'll ask you to reboot once again and after that, everything should be ok.
Thanks for the help on this. I will try to install this card again on monday. I have the latest drivers. Steve
