I know this is off the subject, but i was readin your info, and saw you have the same vidoe card as i, and a processor 500 mhz faster than mine though, and i wondered how you got a 3dmark 2001 score that high ! Visiontek Geforce 3 TI500 64MB 23.12 240/500@277/588 1.5v w/ Tin Ramsinks & Alpha 153u HSF *8342 in 3dmark2k1* Whats the trick, I have the geforce tweak utility, but really don't undertsand all the settings on it, got any pointers, I'd like to operate at that level. "note" My video card isn't visiontek, it's Hercules 3d prophet Geforce III Titanium 500"

this probably should have gone in video and sound cards. and if you want to get someone's attention its usually best to private message them. just for future reference :)

*** Moved To Video and Sound Cards ***

When posting please take care to post in the correct topic area, however although this thread is directed towards a specific person It does relate to Video and Sound Cards which is why it has been moved. As stated in a previous post, perhaps the best way to communicate with a specific user is to PM them.

Unfortunately just because you have a Hercules 3d prophet Geforce 3 TI500 it does not mean that it is the same as the Visiontek Geforce 3 TI500 owned by Dissolved, it may actually use higher specification components such as faster memory and this would assist in producing a higher 3dmark 2001 score than the one that you own

Remember not all hardware is created equal :D

Hit...what's your 3dmark, maybe I can help as well. FSB speed is the key to more marks, aside from video overclocking, there are some OS tweaks and overally system changes you can make as well to boost it, but the pudding's in the overclocking really.

I think i only get like low 7000's on 3dmark2000

seems about right for the setup in the signature. you don't have much on the fsb speed, you're using SDRam, it's a PIII and not a DDR AMD processor which does better mhz for mhz comparisons. I think you meant 3dmark 2001, and not 2000, because if that's your score for 2000 you have a ton of work to do, that rig will hit 10k in 2000 without blinking. Anyhow, I'd pretty much say you've got a decent score for the config, more overclocking will get you many more points. You've got an 8000 potential I'd say with overclocking to the max. a realistic goal would be to hit 7500 to 7700.
