Mixing 1TB Brands on RAID5 Array

Is there any "real" risk to mixing 1TB 7200rpm drives from different manufacturers on my existing RAID5 array? currently using four 1TB Samsung F1s

not really, controllers are decent these days, as long as they are the same size and speed and cache as well should be no issue.

its not recomended and it can pose issues with syncing and rebuilding. i personally wouldnt do it. RAID should be all the same drives because thats what its designed for. for me my data is worth too much for me to take those risks with it.
