I've recently aquired two 3870's, and tried to install them to run CF. Both cards will turn on, and I have enough power to run them. I boot into windows fine, and I even installed them as per recommendation. Install one, install drivers, install second card, install drivers to that card, add CF bridge, and done. BUT, when adding the second card, it is not recognized in CCC, or in the device manager. I've tried multiple catalysts as well, including 8.10, 8.11, and 8.12. Currently I'm running the hardware in my sig, on Vista 64 bit. Any help is much appreciated.

Update: I tried reversing the cards inside the machine, (now card 2 is on top with 1 on bottom), and even after clearing the CMOS, the system just tries to POST, but then reboots itself again and again. Also, the little thing on the motherboard that displays numbers (forget the name) is reading 9C when I have the cards in this order. The first card boots alone or on top with the second below, but the second wont boot alone or on top. Could this mean the second card is..dead? I just received it from a member here yesterday.

It's sounding deadish to me. If you machine won't post with that card alone, you have a doa card.

Ahh. I've looked around, and the seller of the card and I think I should try to flash a bios on the card, to see if it's just bricked, though I'm not exactly sure how to do it, as I've never bothered delving into bios flashing or update. Anyone know how to do this, or where I can find a guide?

Here's what I use:

Here's a discussion on how to do it.

Did you change all the jumpers on your TPower? You know those red ones? You have to change all of them. The TPower enables Crossfire the old fashioned way ;)

Update: Yes, I changed the jumpers. Was the first thing I did. Also, got a new card, and installed that. Was recognized in windows, and is working in the device manager, but CCC doesn't pick up the card, and neither does GPU-Z.
