Hello,
I am trying to fix someones computer
and I think the bios is freaking out!
I have no clue what the board is unless
its listed below,

Bios Sighnon: 03/03/97-i430VX-02071997C
Bios Type: Award Modular Bios v4.51PG
Super I/O: UMC 8663b rev 0 found at port 108h
Chipset: Intel Triton 430VX rev 2

I need to flash the bios, or get a new chip
super cheap!

Please Help - Needs it running ASAP!

What program are you using to identify the motherboard?

Sisoft Sandra is a good program that will identify it with the manufacture and the model number if you didn't use that.

Did you try resetting the bios?

Take the cover off and have a look. There should be some markings on it.

Heya!

Heres is a great link for tracing a MB using the bios info:
http://www.wimsbios.com/

Here is the info on your bios numbers:

Intel Triton VX chipset -
I430VX-02071997C-00: Houston Technologies or PcChips or Mastonic 5500 or Zida (tomato board) 5SVX or MG (Microgram) or Eurone matsonic ms-5010

You will need to find the number on the motherboard, to trace it to the exact manufacturer.
It will be on a sticker, or silk-screened on the board itself.

Did you check Wookie8662's suggestion, that looks cool.
