Video Card I bought

I bought and installed the video card. Go to install drivers and the cd is for a 32 bit vista and I have 64 bit. So I go to galaxy website, download 64 bit and then cannot find a program to open the download.

Can anyone help me figure out what I should do next?

http://www.galaxytech.com is their website.

just go to www.nvidia.com and download the latest drivers, often times the drivers that come with the cards are way outdated and the drivers on the manufacturers site aren't much better

Welcome to OCf Frodoe.
Firstly you link to newegg does not work.
The file you're trying to download is a "rar" file.
1. Download this program http://www.jzip.com/index.php?bt=c
2. Install jZip (the file you've just downloaded in step '1'. Restart your computer.
3. Download your drivers again, and then double click on it. jZip should kick in and extract the file for you.

Next time may I suggest you go direct to Nvidias site (http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us) and download the latest drivers from there.

I installed the the drivers. 1.) When comp. is shutting down it says shutting down forever. 2.) When comp. is done loading I can find the drivers. 3.) Video card will not activate.

Another question do I just slide the video card into pci-e slot. So there is no wire to hook-up to it.

Sorry I cannot understand:confused: What do you mean by "Shutting down forever" ? I've never seen or heard of an OS (operating system) saying shutting down forever!!! What OS are you using ?
And can you list all your computer specs?

List your specs please... Yes you gently push your card into the first pci-e slot and make sure its gone in all the way.
"So there is no wire to hook-up to it" have you connected you video card power cables to it??? it needs power. just plugging into your pci slot doesn't mean that it has power and the OS will recognise it. you need to connect power from your psu to it.
