Why do they say it's best to sandwich a TEC in between 2 pieces of Copper instead of directly contacting it on the CPU?
 
to get an even distrubution of temperature so the TEC can be most effective. as opposed to having the core of the cpu heating the center of the TEC and only that bit doing the cooling.
