I'm guessing it'll be cheap, only an arm, a leg, and your first born son.

Ive got a couple old Raptors using for boot drive, Im just gona use these in the future for storage :)

Maybe just me but I'm planning on upgrading my storage soon maybe and these look real solid, Ive become a real WD fan in the last couple years. They look like really solid performers and the egg sells em pretty cheap it has looked, had all ready spent enough there lately but still tempted to buy a couple these to replace the Maxtors and change a few things about then add more in the future :P

Quoted from the article -

Four of these drives can fit in the same space as one 3.5" drivemy word

That is far past mechanical drives.

"Unfortunately, it's targeted at servers and other large dull users like the military, rather than a sweet new consumer laptop."

I don't think we'll be seeing this in the private sector under 'affordable' any time soon. ;) Sorry guys, it's still going to be a while on the SSD front.

^^ yup, and frankly i dont think %99 of consumers even need the performance SSD's offer.... why SSD are so expensive cause the real benefits show greater in a server environment..

wonder if ican convince work to get a couple of these :D
