Hi everyone, I was hoping someone could help me with a problem i'm currently having. I am using PC Probe II, and it is telling me my Chassis & Power Fan are currently not running, and my CPU fan is running between 8333-8500+ RPM's.

What could be the problem? Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Edit: I just want to add that I manually looked in my case and all my fans are running. Before it detected my fans and I never had this problem.

Everest free edition does the same, it's not supported anymore after several years. PC Probe may be the same. Ignore it. What's your operating system? What's your BIOS say?

Try speedfan for reading fan speeds. Ive never had a issue with it.

I have Windows Vista 64-bit. I've read that in your fans operate under 600 rpm, PC Probe II doesn't detect it. That must be the reason?

Vista64 SP1 and SpeedFan 4.37 shows me even 4xx RPM for Scythe KAMA PWM.

Burebista,

Even Everest Ultimate shows a large difference from the BIOS for CPU fan speed (Vista 64 SP1):

Everest Ultimate: CPU fan 1138 rpm
BIOS: CPU Intel HSF = 2008 rpm.

Haven't found anything yet that matches either.

My BIOS matches SpeedFan, HWMonitor. P5Q-E.
