Ok this is my story. My network was hooked up and everything was working fine. Then one day it stopped working and I directly connected my computer to the modem. Now I want my network to work, but it doesn't want to go online :/

I have everything hooked up properly. I don't have anything crazy (like servers) on my network. All I have right now is one computer (and another one real soon) on it. The firmware is updated, and at this point I don't know what to do.

Should I completely reset it and work from there? I haven't done anything real big or crazy on the router (other port forwarding).

Appreciate the help

Do you get link lights when plugged into your router? Are you able to obtain an IP address when connected to your router? If so, can you ping the default gateway/the routers IP address?

yes I get all the lights. I am able to obtain an ip address. I'm not sure how to ping.. not sure if this would cause a problem but I reformmated my computer a month ago due to spyware

if it helps this is a dsl connection from verizon,

Did you ever get this fixed? Sorry i was reading through old posts.

To ping open up command line and type "Ping X" where X is the name of a webside (i.e. Google.com) or it is an ipaddress (192.168.1.1). Then just hit enter, for windows it will try 4 times and then finish. If you CAN ping your default gateway that is good, then try to ping google.

Also what are you IP addresses across the network? Do you ahve any static addressing or are you using DHCP.
