play n charge kit for 360?

i was wonderin if the play n charge kits is just supplying power to the controller to charge the battery of it it switches so it connects via USB and isnt broadcasting wireless any more when its plugged in.

the reason i ask is i want a dacent gamepad i can use on my pc but i want a wired one and a regular wired controller is only $10 less than a wireless which is kinda crappy.

If you connect the wireless controller to your PC, the controller will still try to look for a 360 to connect to. But if you buy one of these (http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-Windows-Pc/dp/B000HZFCT2/ref=pd_bxgy_vg_text_b) you'll be good to go

Play and charge is still wirelessly connected, its just charging so it can stay connected.

So using it to connect to PC via USB would not work.

it'd be nice to have rechargables but it would be nice to have a seccond controller as well
