Really like my RAC on my I7

Hey guys I just wanted to say I love how much this CPU can get me in being closer to one of the top computers @ seti.

I'm number 82 and getting lower!!!


I'm running my I7 920 @ 4GHz, not stable any higher at my current settings.

I'm so used to looking at a user's total account I seldom think about individual machines. Being on any World Top 100 list is a great accomplishment. Being in the Top 25 is fantastic ...! :):thup:

Gotta love the I7 and now using GPU crunching!! I can't wait to see what that machines RAC will stabilize out to be. The 24/7 crunching is eating away at my electric bill. With the machine using 600-650 watts @ CPU & GPU full load! I got my electric bill and it's double what it was from last year at this time.

Good job, man. Did you see what the top machine is running and it's rac? It's a QX9770 with 6 (that's 3 cards, since it's a dual gpu card) GTX295's in it and it's rac is almost 38k! :eek:

I'd hate to see how much power that sucker draws from the wall though.

Yeah those cards ought to help tremendously!!! I was talking with a coworker about that guy, and his power sucking video cards!

Well I hit 15K on my I7's RAC and still climbing. Now, I'm in the 10th spot!
