Do you ever vaguely recall a scene from RL and remember it was a video game level?

I have done this occasionally. Maybe I play too much videogames. Though these days I find myself wanting to play them more than actually getting to play them. Sometimes I would have a vague recollection of a place only to realize it was just a level on an fps I used to play. And do you sometimes gain an attachment for the level as if it were a physical place?

I was trying to sleep and had a recollection of Goldeneye levels on n64. It's been 6-7 years since I played it but it was like visiting an old house I used to live in. I got that warm and fuzzy feeling. Just thought I'd mention it to make sure I'm not the only one.

I once had dream I was actually in Unreal tornament. I was on the morpheos level, The one with the three towers where you float about in the earths upper atmosphere. All was going well until a got blew off the side of one of the towers. Needless to say it was quite pleasing when I woke up and found I hadn't really been fragged! lol

I also have game dreams. Probably the most noticeable one was from Goldeneye (Jungle level with the paintball cheat on. And for some reason Crash Bandicoot was following me around.)

I think of that stuff all the time...

There is this huge industrial area and refinery in Joliet off of I-55. It looks exactly like the background to the original Sonic the Hedgehog later levels...LOL

Also, I was on base and one of the rooms looked like the TV studio from Call of Duty 4...except there wasn't people running around shooting at you from the second level. haha

I'll worry if I see something from Doom or Silent Hill or something. LOL

World of Warcraft. Oh god...I don't know how many times I've heard the sound of Tauren Hooves chasing me as I am out in the Barrens in my dreams. And there's nothing quite like killing the undead. But what's the worst is when something like Mousehunt from facebook creeps into your dreams. Then you know you seriously have problems....

And yeah...I've had those healer/tank dreams. I am a bear...I am a bear...I am a bear...swipe swipe swipe...for the love of god...someone heal me or I'm done for!

Only way I can pack 3 computers/monitors into my tiny ass trunk is thinking I'm playing Tetris, then it works GREAT.

I haven't had any of these typer of experiences but THIS has happened to me. I have had about 2 months of on and off sickness this Winter. During the time I have spent at home I have tried to keep occupied. The last stretch was 5 days and during that time I played ALOT of Tomb Raider on my 360. One day after a rather long stretch of playing, I went in to watch some TV. While sitting on the couch and something moved in my peripheral vision. I caught myself thinking (imagining) that I needed to move the right stick to see what it was. It was quite a weird feeling. :beer:

i've never experienced this. i have had this occur in other forms like dreams but not real life.

however, i keep hearing the hunter or smoker's cough from L4D in my head anymore.

It doesn't happen when I'm really awake and aware. Just when I let my mind daydream, like just before going to sleep or trying to recall a game sometimes, my memory may be fuzzy and I can't recall if that scene or picture in my head was from a game or real life. Or sometimes when my mind wants to merge scenes I've had IRL with game scenes.

I suppose if you look at it psychologically, video games give you a lot of control and may be my mind wanting to look back at something or look at things with more control. Perhaps it's telling me I fear not being in control. Perhaps I need more sleep. Or maybe I just have a wild imagination.

Isn't it obvious? We grind up old game discs. Roll that up in whatevers handy and play your games wherever you are :D

I was watching the presidential inauguration recently and the first thing jumped into my head was my recent super mutant battle in the mall area in the D.C ruins of Fallout 3.

If I play WAR online too much, I get this thing where when i shut my eyes I can still see the damage numbers floating up as if im hitting something. Really annoying actually.:screwy:
