I'm just curious how many case fans you guys have. I need to increase airflow on 1 of my rigs but I'm not sure how many fans will do the trick.

Right now I have three on intake and four on exhaust and that includes the one in the PSU.

I have 4 intake and 3.5 on exhaust. But the four intake ones have dust filters so the air pressure is only slightly positive. By the way, they are 2 intakes on front, 2 intakes on the side, and 3 exhaust (and one on the PSU) on the top rear. These are all 80mm fans.

120 intake, 80 and 120 exhaust, and PSU fan. case is maybe 1C above room temp (23 right now)

6 fans total. all on rheo stats and toggles to tweak cooling
full tower case

two in Power sups exhaust

two on top of case blowing in cold air through radiator

one in front blowing air in always full speed

one in bottom of case blowing air in full speed most of the time

There all enermax fans and are quite quiet and with the rheos I can tune them to get my case temps very close to my room tem. Usualy with in 2C which makes my water temps and CPU temp about 4-8C over room :) works good. Lost of messing with wires and soldering to set up the rheo bus thogh.

You'll find that every system cools differently. You'll have to do some experimenting with fans blowing in and out...A perfect setup dosnt' happen in a day. It takes time to mess with it. It's all worth it in the end though. :)

I've got two 80mm intakes, and two 80mm exaust. This is not including the PSU fans. I also have a side panel for summer, with two 80mm intakes down near the bottom, and and 1 80mm exaust that is directly across from my HSF's exaust (Alpha PEP66 with Delta 38 cfm, sucking air off the HS).

Well if you wanna increase airflow and possibley lower our db level then just use bigger fans, llike maybe 2 92mm or 1 120mm with over 100cfm. My Sanyo Denki 120mm is 103cfm at 39.5 db. IT takes less power to move that much air since the blades are bigger, then also spin slower so id bet youd get less noise then 4 80mm.
