my 3dmark2001 scores are pretty low(61-6200), any ideas on why?
gigabyte ga-7vtxe
AMD xp1900
512mb 2100 DDR
sound blaster live
IBM 7200rpm
leadtek geforce3 ti500
win98se ver 4.10.2222 A
detonator xp drivers(the winfast ones were really terrible, and i can't download the new ones from the website)
my friend has the exact same computer minus the leadtek, his is another brand, and he got like 7600.
any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

Try Here (http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=windows2000)
Or even here (http://www.voodoofiles.com/type.asp?cat_id=4) for the latest drivers for that Ti500

Have you tweaked your memory settings? Overclocked? That'll get your score up.

i have the lastest reference drivers, i just meant that i couldn't get leadtek's newest drivers because their webpage wouldn't let me download
i haven't messed with memory settings or oc'd it, i was under the impression that the score i have was low for a gf3 ti5, wondering if there's anything i can do to help it out without messing with core or memory speeds
I have the lastest drivers from Leadtek's site. I can email them to you if you have a email account that will accept 13mb files. PM me if you would like me to email them to you.. :)
Sorry... none of my emails would attach file... too big. Is there another way you can think of? :eh?:

I wouldn't recommend using any of the Winfast drivers. 22.80 or 23.11 would probably be your best bet. I had major problems using the Winfast drivers with GF3ti200. 22.80s work great. With the 23.11s I obtain a score of 6230 (and that's with a ti200).

I have the latest drivers fron nvidia already
my chipset options in bios are
agp mode - 4x
agp comp. driving - DA
agp fast write - disabled (i've tried on and off)
agp aperture size - 64 (tried 128 and 256 as well)
agp read synchonization - disabled
any ideas? :eh?:
i'm about to throw my leadtek away or something

i haven't yet, i had to download them here at work because my internet has been down at my house for the past couple of days.
but even though i haven't, my friend hasn't either and he's running 1500 higher than me with the same mobo:(
going to try the via4-1 tonight and see if that helps my situation any

i inspected my card, and it looks like the factory heat sink isn't making good connections with my ram, when i get off work i'm going to inspect it closer.
is this a possible suspect of bad performance?
was set back on installing my new chipset drivers (took me forever to get my internet up again), gonna do that tonight too.

i tried installing the new via4in1
what choice should i make on the install for video
had a regular mode, turbo mode, and some other one
the turob was already selected, so i went with it.
when i tried running 3dmark after that i had no fps or stats on the screen and it was freaking out with weird colors.
should i change it to another mode or what?
install it in normal mode to test. that will set the agp interface to 1x, 2x or 4x. normal will set it mostly to 2x or 1x. turbo for 2x and 4x. it depends on your system.
