I spoke to Nick at Crazypc today to straighten out my order. Anyway he told me the prices of the Kingmax is going up this weekend. So if you want to get some ram better do it NOW!!!
I also ask him why the prices are going up. He said that some of the factories in Taiwan are closed and the bigger companies brought up the smaller one. In other word, they are consoldating so they can get the prices up. I guess they are trying to start a rampec or something.

LOL, "RAMpec."
BTW rising RAM prices are not exactly "news," it has been going on for a while and is expected to continue. Interesting to hear about pricing on specific modules though...thx.
Thanks for the insider info! Yes, we've heard that in general we should expect rising prices, and the vendors have been toying with their prices, but it sounds like maybe Kingmax is going to raise the price they give the vendor.
Well, I just ordered two more sticks, and at the next sign of a rise I'm probably going to get more. I was hoping to get a few other components first, but just about everything else will only get cheaper with time- so get ram now!

I bought a 256Meg stick of Crucial mid December for £30, it's now £70 from the same place.
Shocking!
