Ok here it goes..I was running Windows XP pro and I desided I did not want to run XP anymore on the system because of problems with games that I play..don't get me wrong XP is running great on this PC just not so great for games..
Well anyways I booted up on Fat disk and tried and tried to format the drive and I ended up getting it partitioned I have no idea how I did this it patitioned the remander of my hard drive to 2.3 gig drives X 6 and also I have no idea what happend to the remaning hard drive space.. on boot up I see it reads 30.2 gigs but it is only showing 13.8 gigs in 6 partitioned drives..the only way I am running right now is with a quick install of ME on one of the 2 gig partitioned drives..so could someone help me out on getting this damn partition off the PC and also getting XP pro off of here..as of right now I have no idea were XP is even at on the hard drive because it is not showing the other 16 or 17 gigs that was alreay used with programs and XP on it...

Startup with your XP CD or the startup disks. Follow the setup until you get to the part where it allows you to partition your disks. Once there it should have all the partitions listed. Delete them all. Once you delete those partitions, restart with your normal Win98/ME boot disk and start FDISK to reassign the partitions you want. The disk will be completely blank.

go to www.ranish.com and download partition manager. run "part" from dos. it will show every partition. go down the list and hit delete on every one. When they're all gone, hit enter, and set the disc up the way you want it! god...i love this program, soooo much better than fdisk or anything else out there...and very quick, too
