I am using riva tuner to regulate the fan speed on my 3850. I want to set it to run at 30% all the time but whenever i set the fan, hit apply, check the apply at startup, hit save. when i boot or come back from standby its different again.
what am i doing wrong?

all you do is when your in the fan tab you hit the save button and save it to a custome profile then you hit apply and thats it mine stays at 100% all the time since i have it overclocked. Heck i think we have the same cards lol

its a good gpu. i really like it.
i got it for $70 shipped from newegg =) the next day it went to $90 plus shipping.
what temps does yours run at? after gaming for a while the highest it gets is 59C.
I saved the custom profile so i should be good. Thank you.

i get about 43c on idle and about 63 on load after gaming but thats also with an pretty good overclock with the stock heatsink and fan. And cruddy wire routing and a fan blowing over the card from the side panel.

well i have all my fans running full bore all the time so its an ok temp but what id love to do is phase change or water cool my whole setup so i can see how far i can push everything.
