This may be of interest to some...cant seem to get it translated though but you can pretty much tell from the pics. I'm sure we'll hear more about this in the upcoming weeks.

That's just the powerleap Tualatin adaptor for 370 sockets.

Then at the end, Mobo's that work and Mobo's that don't. 370's have a lil life left in them.

I have posted the same thing as you do one day before, but I haven't got any responses. = (

Too lazy to do the translation from Chinese to English.

nuciles...now I see your thread...didn't even notice it before. I tried a translation with babelfish but I came out with a bunch of wacky text

Well, I don't see any important point in that review anyway. It is just a review of the converter, no testing.

Just wait for the testing review and try translate it. I think it will be much better.

Yep well at least we know it exists

I don't think it will be too great for overclockers as the socket adapter is using its own set of heatsink and socket ears unless you plan to mount 5 pounds of copper onto Thermal Adhensive eheh.

Yodums, do you read Chinese? Or, you know it from somewhere else? The official Powerleap Web Site?

Its japenese not chinese so that may help you out if your using babel fish. Although much is lost in the translation which will make it difficult to figure out exactly. the jist is that it exists and is a super fantastic, monkey balls, dragon slaying adapter. Just kidding reminds me of the old News Radio tv episode, not much on voltage or anything but we will have to wait and see. All I really want to know will be if we can change voltage.

Look at the diagrams, where the socket ears are at the corner sort of.

I can read a little chinese but thats japs.

I think the voltage adjustment will be good or could be modded as they have begun on those slot 1 adapters.

It looks like it uses the socket ears on the mobo

I used the old powerleap adapter PPGA to FCPGA (socket 370) and it did not have any voltage control but it did make the socket taller. All you had to do was take the clip that was included and it fit on just about any standard heatsink

is Powerleap going to sell the adaptor with CPU?

hopefully the fan size is standardised so a better one can be put on it...ummm...watercooling would be fun:rolleyes:

Powerleap just sent a sample to the Taiwan Overclocker Web Site (The link that posted above) for testing only. The adapter may not been selling yet in the market. We will wait for the testing review and see what happen.
