Im currently sitting at 1.6@1.7V air-cooled for now. Took of the watercooling setup temporarily. Im at about 43C with Prime 95 running in the background. I am getting greedy and just want to see how high everyone has got thier 1.2 at. I would like to go to 1.7. So far, not much success @ 140fsb. Any suggestions? I am currently at 3-3-1. I know, I should be at 4-4-1, but my system is happy right now and its stable. My memory is at 2-2-2 and 5-7. I have tried 140fsb at 4-4-1, and 7-9, no luck. So..post where you are at and what setting you are at with your ST6. Thanks again for all who has helped.

Mine's sitting in a UPS truck right now probably being abused! It should be here 1/23/02...

I'm really interested in how it compares with my P3-1000E. I'll post some comparisons of each chip in my Abit ST6 board -- of course I'll probably have to send the woman out shopping or something so I can get some play time. :p

Hey I have mine running at 1.703 at 1.648volts and it runs at 42c under full load. I think I'm going to order a watercooling setup to push this puppy further. I can boot into windows at 1.714ghz, but the temps go to 45.7c idle and if I run seti@home it goes to 48c so I need better cooling.

I got my one running @ 1632 Mhz / 1.55VCore. Temperature is about 41° C CPU / 30° C Chipset under full load - running 3d Mark 2001 for >12h. The system is aircooled by GlobalWin FOP freezer and Delta FFB 0812 EHE Cooler.
As u, I can't go with 4:4:1 divider, so I use 3:3:1 without any problems accuring.
I also tested to go higher in frequency, but I see no need to let in run on these settings, cause my main goal was fullfilled - I kicked my friends gay AMD Athlon XP 1800+'s butt in every meaning. 41° C and low VCore of 1.55 is not to high and will keep my Cely's lifetime for long, so in 1 1/2 year I can use him in grandpa state as server.
The max frequency the CPU handles is 1716 MHz/ 1,7VCore. But this setting appears very unstable, especially running 3d applications. I think the AGP frequency is to high then, perhaps it would work using another graphics instead of my GF 3 (250/575). Also 1716 Mhz prevents Win2k SP2 from booting, only Win 98SE does it. Both operating systems will boot @ 1656 Mhz/ 1.6VCore. Also the system runs stable @ these settings, tested by running Sandra burn-in-wizard, 3d Mark 2001 and Seti@home for 24h at the same time. Note that I will enter these higher settings, if my friend buys a new gay AMD 1900+ ;-)

I can do 1.52 at 1.8v, but right now I'm running at a mild 1.33 at 1.40v and I'll be keeping on stepping down with the volts, see how cool I can get this to run, how quiet I can make this system...

I'm starting to wonder if the slight dip in the 5 volt rail at higher Vcores is to blame for my inability to hit 1.6... Unplugging a few of my 5 hard drives did not help my +5 stay at +5...

Was running the Tualatin at 1.44@1.550v STABLE. My ST6 is in service so I had no idea whether 1.6 will go for me. I've got a below average chip. I got 1.5 @1.650v I believe, but temps were mid 40s pushing to 50s with my gladiator and delta38. Will deal with this soon.

Tried unsuccessfully at 1.6 a couple of times. First time, it looked stable. But I left it there for a very brief time. Temps were up there. I think I maxed out at 1.8v to get it to 1.6. Cooling might be the issue though. Pretty big jump in voltage from 1.5 to 1.6. Strange.

1.6 is in the making :D

EDIT:

1.6 is still in the making :p

Anyways, after lapping my Gladiator and applied asii, I've got it running at 1.5GHz@1.675v. Rock stable. Load temps will peak at 35c w/ Prime95 but usually stay around 33c. Hoping for 130fsb next but not sure about stability.

Where is your 1.2 sitting at?

Most of them I've seen are sitting in a motherboard socket.

I have a celeron 1.1A running on an ST6 at 1533MHz (139FSB), 1.80Vcore 45C under load w/Prime95. It took a Glaciator II cooler to do it though at this voltage, nice cooler.....

1603Mhz, 1.825V (case closed) I've run over 25 hours Prime95 and it seems to be stable. I ran some games too and I couldn't get them crash either (AOK TC) and tested that Serious Sam demo. Cooling is pretty heavy air cooling.

I can't still boot at 1684+Mhz to Windows even @1.825V. It gives me blue screen w/ "Driver IRQL not less or equal". I don't know if it's my memory. I'm not sure if the 140- pci bus memory speed setting works.

Mine is at 1608/1.62v with AlphaPal6035 but had it at 1668....took it back down til my new MCXC370 Swiftech comes in ...then I will go back up and do some more testing... temp are 25-29c idle and 30-33c under load...(depending on room temp at the time) and I am using the XET-C

I'm at 1608MHz @ 1.77v with standard HSF (Arctic Silver applied).Been running for over a week at this speed,running benchmarks,latest games(including Serious Sam on Extreme Quality settings)with no problems at all.It's a Malaysian chip.

Finally got mine, but can't do anything with it yet. (Darn rock n roll lifestyle cuts into geektime...)

Yes, it is a Philippines OEM. (S-code is SL5XS -- it's a bit blurry...) The IHS seemed pretty much flat outside of a very, very slight convex shape -- nothing a light sanding job can't fix...

Hopefully it'll cruise and be worth the $82...

Well, took some time (blew off class for the night!;) ) and fired up the Tually.

Ran it for a while at stock, then decided to to bump it up for a bit to 1.45GHz to let it run Prime95 and F@H for the evening. It's been cranking for about 1.5 hours at the time of this shot... The best thing is that it's still at stock voltage!

I'm using an SK-6 with a YS-Tech 40cfm 60x25mm fan on it. Both HSF and CPU are lapped.

***BEGIN UPDATE***1/25/01 8:11am central
As shown in the pic, Prime95 was starting on it's second round. This morning when I checked the system, Prime95 had halted with a message of 'check[input] != check[output]' (or something close to that) after the 19th piece of that second set. I restarted before I left for work for it to cook some more.

I hate all you guys who got Philly chips! Well, not really I'm just green with envy. I purposely ordered an OEM hoping to get a Philly, but when it arrived of course it was Malay. I've done what I can with it and I guess 130FSB 1564@1.75 really isn't a bad OC but I really wanted 1600.

Well, mine isn't there yet either, but I kinda like the start. I will mention that I was happy has hell to see 'Philippines' on the chip though. :p

I thought it would be fun to do a comparison between 2 of my systems here with Sandra 2001 and 2002.

First system:
P3-1000E @ 1.333GHz (10x133 FSB) @ 1.80V
512MB PC133 Dell RAM at 2-2-2 7/9
Asus CUSL2

Second system:
Celly-T 1.2 @ 1.572GHz (12x131 FSB) @ 1.80V
512MB PC133 Dell RAM at 2-2-2 7/9
Abit ST6

Sandra 2001
CPU Bench CPU Multi Memory Bench
P3 1000E 3556 MIPs 7297 it/s 391 MB/s ALU
@1.333 GHz 1800 MFLOPS 8928 it/s 433 MB/s FPU

Celeron-T 1.2 4467 MIPS 8673 it/s 433 MB/s ALU
@1.572GHz 2132 MFLOPS 10766 it/s 454 MB/s FPU

Sandra 2002
CPU Bench CPU Multi Memory Bench
P3 1000E 3575 MIPs 7298 it/s 967 MB/s ALU
@1.333 GHz 1808 MFLOPS 8929 it/s 912 MB/s FPU

Celeron-T 1.2 4387 MIPS 8673 it/s 1001 MB/s ALU
@1.572GHz 2136 MFLOPS 10766 it/s 977 MB/s FPU

Not sure why the CPU Arithmetic numbers are lower for the Celly on Sandra 2002 vs Sandra 2001, but it benched multiple times with the same results.

That Dell RAM is 1GB for $64 I picked up a couple months back. It's only rated at CAS3 @ 133MHz, but it does CAS2 just fine.

No 3Dmarks done since the P3 has a GF3 Ti200 @ Ti500+ speeds and the Celly has a GF256.

Philly 1.1a pic. I can only get it to 35-36c under max load.
Have to go to 1.75v to get stable here.
