I need to get DVD player software. What works and is not a hassel to configure or install.

PowerDVD is what i use and it has never given me any problems. i THINK but i'm not SURE, but it MIGHT be free. :)

on second thought i just went to the cyvberlink website (who makes powerdvd) and there is a 30 day trial for free but it costs $50 to buy. i'm sure there are other free programs out there. but if you are willing to spend that money then i recommend it. mine came with my dvd-rom so i never had to pay in the first place.

I used PowerDVD for a long time and while I like it, the version I had isn't compaktible with NT kernel OS'es. I use WinDVD 2000 now, it came with my video card.

Also nice for playin AVI, MPEG movies when ur sick up WMP :P

i recommend windvd, not free unfortunatly but the best of the best.
if you need a copy of powerdvd contact me. my dvd player came with a free version. mod's not a warez post. it says right on the envelope. free to destribute.
PowerDVD is about the best player there is. I've been using it for over a year and its great!
